Pumpkin Pie Recipe

I will be making this pie with the pumpkin Zeke picked in the pumpkin pie and I figure I would share it wit you guys..I will post my Final result of my pie as soon as I am done making it. ENJOY!!!
FYI I was told by a friend that since they are big decorative pumpkins and not small baking pumpkins, you'll probably want to add more sugar and cinnamon than the recipe calls for.

Ingredients

1 sugar pumpkin
1 recipe pastry for a 9 inch single crust pie
2 eggs
1 cup packed light brown sugar
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 1/2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
1 (12 fluid ounce) can evaporated milk

Directions

Cut pumpkin in half and remove seeds. Place cut side down on a cookie sheet lined with lightly oiled aluminum foil. Bake at 325 degrees F (165 degrees C) for 30 to 40 minutes, or until the flesh is tender when poked with a fork. Cool until just warm. Scrape the pumpkin flesh from the peel. Either mash, or puree in small batches in a blender. Increase oven temperature to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C.)
In a large bowl, slightly beat eggs. Add brown sugar, flour, salt, 2 cups of the pumpkin puree, pumpkin pie spice, and evaporated milk. Stir well after each addition.
Pour mixture into the unbaked pastry shell. Place a strip of aluminum foil around the edge of the crust to prevent over browning.
Bake 10 minutes at 450 degrees F (230 degrees C), then reduce the oven temperature to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Bake an additional 40 to 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Remove the strip of foil about 20 minutes before the pie is done so that the edge of the crust will be a light golden brown. Cool pie, and refrigerate overnight for best flavor.

Yesterday We took Zeke and Eli to the pumpkin patch, We started the tradition ever since Zeke was 2 months old (his first Fall), My boys enjoy it so much as they get to walk in the pumpkin patch and pick their own pumpkin..Zeke picked a BIG pumpkin, he says he wants to carve it and also wants me to make him a "Pumpkin Pie" LOL
Eli picked a little one :)I love to see my boys enjoying the little things in life as we make Family Memories!!!!

On September 23, 2011 Our Little Boy asked the Lord to forget all his Sins and Accepted the Lord Jesus Christ in His heart during the Childrens Class during RU..He now says I am a Christian and I need to read my Bible every morning and so thats what I do with him I read his Bible and I enjoy Our time reading the Word of God together...I pray that God will keep him in his path and that Zeke would do whatever God wants him do do with his life!!!

This past weekend th 11th my husband and I celebrated our 6th wedding Anniversary. that morning I woke up to a delicious Sturbucks frappuccino and a beautiful bouquet of roses.

That evening we went to a super nice restaurant for dinner by the lake with a beautiful view..

First Visit to the Dentist

This morning Zeke had his first dentist appointment(yes, I know he should of had it long time ago)and we and him loved it,They were so kid friendly.
Our favorite thing was that they had frames with bible verses in the wall,and christian books about kids from Dr. James Dobson!!!

And Zeke did so good,Sadly he does had a caviti and need to go back in few weeks to work on it.they counted his teeth and he has a total of 20 :)

After he was done they gave him 2 prizes 1 sticker....he also got to picked out a cool toothbrush and toothpaste!!!

When Eli was about 1 1/2 I remember him singing all the time "The wheels on the bus" that was his favorite song he sang it all the time....
Now that he is 2 and started going to the 2 year olds sunday school class,his favorite songs are "The B-I-B-L-E" and "There is power in the Blood".

He is constantly asking his daddy and I to start singing the song with him as he tell us which of the two songs he wants to sing.
Few weeks ago we went to a gas station and as we were entering he started singing "power,power" loud..The people that was there just turn to see him and started Smiling!!!

I told Jeremi he is one little boy that is not ashamed of his Gospel::)

I am so thankful that my boys are learning the things of the Lord at such an early age.

Last week we went to the hospital to see our friends New baby boy they had, on our way there we stopped for lunch and while we stopped Zeke asked me "Mommy since we are going to the hospital can you have me a baby sister while we are there??LOL I said well baby I can't have a baby right now because I don't have a big belly....He said well can My Daddy have one then?Cause he has a big belly????(ok really his belly is not that big):)

I droped my phone few months ago and my honey went to fix it yesterday and even bought me a new cover.
It was a blessing we got charge $0 (which we waited so long to change it because apple store told us it would be $100 for the new screen) and found the cover at target for only $8 original price $38

Fishing for the first time

Zeke has been asking his Daddy for the longest time that he wanted to go Fishing and get a big fish,Because of weather conditions and not been able to find a pond We told him we would take him soon.
Well while we were in Ga this past weekend the weather was beautiful while we were going to visit Jeremi's grandparents for few hours so Jeremi planned on taking the boys fishing at his Grandparents Lake (yes they have a big lake that they own behing their log cabin) While the grandma (maw maw) cooked lunch (yummy) .The Boys had a Blast!!!

We didn't have to go to the store to buy worms, All the boys had to do was dig in the side of the house and they were plenty in ground:)

Spring has Sprung

Today was so beautiful outside, so we took advantage and the boys and I went outside to play and take some pictures of them! After Daddy got home we went to the park and Enjoyed family time together.
Its so much fun to take pictures of the Boys! Eli loves to smile and pose for the camera, And Zeke loves to be silly and pose like a little man.

Sweet Bedtime Prayers!

Every night, after we finish with the kids devotional we all pray starting with Eli(even though we cant really understand what he is praying for)But he always end up with a AMEN :)
This is Zeke's prayer for every night:

-Not to have a bad dream (he had a few bad ones before he started praying)

A touch of Spring

One of our Favorite things to do in our free days is to Enjoy Family time together, And this time it was on my way to visit my family while Jeremi was in a training Trip in El Paso, Texas!!
The Boys had a Blast and we Enjoyed the beautiful Spring day.(Even though the wind was chilly).
Cant wait to start taking my boys to the park next week and have picnics with them,And let them ride their Bicicles while I Enjoy all the colorful Flowers outside.

Ever since before we knew that Zeke was a boy when I was pregnant I wanted a boy. And God gave us a precious little boy that makes my day brighter everyday,THEY LOVE THEIR MOMMY. Today while I was cleaning and cooking lunch he looked at me and said:

Mommy you are the best cleaner ever and the best Cook ever.

Then I came to hug him and said:

Mommy you are the best mommy ever and So Pretty.

He also brings me flowers everyday from the front yard and says MOMMY I LOVE YOU!(he is learning from his daddy:))

I am so thankful for my little man he is such a sweet little Gentlemen..I am beyong thankful for been able to stay with my boys at home and Enjoy their Hugs, Kisses and Sweet words!

My husband is at a pastors' Conference in Hammond,Indiana for a whole week and the boys and I have been home without him But thankfully My in-laws ,Sister and Law and Aunt came to see us for three days:)(they left this morning)we enjoyed them and the boys had a great time playing with their cousins and as for me it really helped my days go faster,and tomorrow Jeremi comes home!!I am so ready to see him and have him home with us..The boys are also ready to have their daddy back!!!GOD HAS BLESS ME WITH A GOOD FAMILY AND I AM SO THANKFUL FOR IT!!!!

Learning how to Coupon

ok for the last few weeks I have been trying to really start learning how to couponing, I have seen and heard friends telling me how much money they save by just using coupons.(I know it takes time to cut coupons ,organize them but its well worth it)..well I am trying it and guess what.. yes, I have saved in come cases half percent of the amount of what I suppost to pay.I am loving using coupons,it gets addicting and a challenge to see how much money you can save next time you go to the store..Here is some things that I have bough with coupons: I am still learning,I dont know everything about how to do it as much as I seen some ladies been so profecional at it and save 80% or 90% of their bill :)
This items were on sale already that total around $12.50
After my coupons I only paid $ 3.97

Groceries Below 21 items
Total before coupons(not counting that some were on sale): $58.95
Total after coupons: $36.63
Total Saved: $22.32 (37%)

This past weekend my Family came to see us from Madison,Al The Boys were so Excited that they woke up at the time they got here which was 1:00 am .Here they are in their PJs :)(Zeke was even practicing his Spanish to talk to grandma and Grandpa :))

On saturday we took them out to a Mexican Restaurant and Jungle Jim's a International Store where they have everything from all over the world.. That Evening we got home and My mom Cooked POZOLE (A Mexican Soup)and Played wii, We had a great Day(Eli and I also Opened gifts for Our Birthday which it was last monts.I will post pic. in another Post)

Sunday Everybody went to church with us (Its such a blessing to have your whole family with you for one day in the House of the Lord on Sunday)Afterwards we ate Lunch and said Good bye to my parents,and sister.My sister Yesenia and brother in law stayed till monday with us,It was so much fun spending a extra day with them!!

When I get to Heaven...

who dreams of what heaven will be like? Zeke my four-year-old knows that Heaven is where God is and knows that there is nothing impossible for God.. he memorized Gen.1:1 where it says that God made Heaven and Earth.He has few dreams that we tell him its impossible to do it Now,(He loves to play to pretend to be a Lion,Tiger,all the wild Animals we Know)He keeps inssisting and telling us that when he gets to Heaven he will ask God to allowed him be an Eagle for one day so he can have wings and fly :)So I always tell our friens "when we get to heaven and you see and Eagle flying around,Dont worry it will be my little boy"hehhe!!!he knows that God is so good and sees God as he would see his daddy and ask Him for things. To be Honest I dont know if this is possible but For Now he just dreams of been a EAGLE,!!!

Oh my if I as an Adult would see God thru a little Child's Eyes!!!

Now that I have kids I dont enjoy as much talking or putting pictures about my own bday anymore,But in this case I just had to show the cute card(cute to me because they are specially made with my boys hand:)to me this card are even better then the ones they can buy at the store:)That saturday morning while I was still in bed they got up and made this cards,later that afternoon we went out to eat,and went to this huge store where they have everythyng in the world.(no pictures I fotgot to take my camera in)My boys and hubby made my day special I would have not asked for a better day...Thank you Lord for allowing me to live another year!!

The week of his birthday we started singing Happy Birthday to him.I guess he remembers from Zeke's birthday that you suppost to blow the candle because everytime we sang HAPPY BIRTHDAY he would say "BLOW THE CAKE" and he sure did on his birthday we blew the candle,he loved it he had a great time with all of his little friends... he loves trains so we had a THOMAS THE TRAIN birthday party!!!

Last time I posted in my blog Eli was only a few months old,Wow time past soo quick and he now turned 2 years old last week!!Zeke and I took him out that morning to steak and shake he enjoyed it specially the big dessert the waitress gave him.

We took Zeke to his first D-backs baseball game on his B-day he was so excited about it he could't stop asking us about what time we were living to the game.we are finally here outside of the field.

During the game usually I don't like to watch baseball game I think its boring but watching it live it was so much fun.

It seems like it was yesterday when we were awaiting the arrival of my first little boy,I remember from the day we found out I was expecting till the moment I went to the hospital and held my baby boy for the first time:)we were so excited to be having this little blessing in our life.(sorry this is the only pic.I found in my computer of Zeke being a new born)

I remember my little boy standing up and walking for the first time.he brought us so much joy by experiencing every day of his life!

This is him now after 3 years he is growing to fast but I am glad and thankful that I have enjoyed every minute of his life..God has been so good to us he gave us this little treasure 3 years ago and all we want to do is give it back to God and allow him to do great things in his life for his glory and honor.

Where did the time go? my baby is already 4 months yesterday I took him for his Doctor's appointment and he is 15 pounds and 25 1/2 inchs long how fast this baby has grown. His new thing is to roll over and just have fun on the floor.

He also sat for the first time in a high chair and he loves it.We are now working on feedind baby food.

Sorry just a little late but I wanted to share some pictures of mother's day with my two little blessings.I just want to say that I never though what a Blessing and privilege is to be a Mommy and course full of responsabilities but the most important is the Example that we give them as how to leave our lives putting christ in the center of our lives.

I received a beautiful bouquet of roses from my wonderful husband and a card.I also got a card from Zeke but he had it playing it and I didn't have the chance to take a picture of it.

This year was my third year as a Mommy but it was my first year of being a Mommy to a cute little boy Eli he is such a blessing to us.I am so thankful to God for his little wonderful little blessings that He SENT ME to take care of.I pray that I can be the mom that one day they see and say that I leave a Godly example for them.

I definitelly can say that the Lord has taught me so many things about raising a child I just now trying to put it in practice all I can say that is definitely different than just growing up in a house that leaves without christ.I thank God for allowing somebody to tell me about his love and mercy and now allowing me to raise my kids in a christian home (I wish I was born and raised in a christian home but everything works for good) I pray that God help my husband and I to be what we need to be for our children!!

I am sorry I know it has been a while since I last posted in my blog but it just has been crazy around here first with the adjustment of the new baby I hardly had time to get in the computer and stay long time,and then for the last week and so I have been taking care of a sick husband (thank God he is alot better now)and now Zeke has been up alot during the night with a high fever for the last 3 days.Anyways I will try to get better and try to write more often like I used to.

Yesterday we took little Eli for his check up he weights 6 lbs 4 oz and measures 19 1/9 inches now.It was also his first time out of the house it seem like he enjoyed it slept all the time that he was riding in the car.We had a great day as a new family of FOUR.Today he lost his little umbilical cord and tomorrow he will be a week old.God is so good to us He has blessed us with two precious boys that we love so much!!

Well I went yesterday for my 38th doctor's visit and the baby is ready to be born everythng looks good his heart rate was in the 140s which is good and he is almost six pounds which on tuesday they are going to induce me so he won't get bigger than 7pounds.We are so exited yesterday we went to buy the things that we need for him and now I am just getting everything in order for him.Please keep me the baby and my family in your prayers if you can.

Yesterday I went to my 37th doctor's appointment and also the last one of the year,Everything looked fine the baby is growing,his heart beat is in the 130s very normal and I have gained 23 pounds so far I still have 3 more weeks to grow some more lol.At my next appointment which is next week on wednesday I am going to have and ultrasound to see how big he is so I will let you know how everything went.

Yesterday I went to the Doctor for my 36 weeks check up,They checked for infection which they are going to call me to give me the results but I pray that everything comes out fine.They also checked me to see if I am already inalating(hope is how you spell it)and YES I am already ONE centimeter that means I dont have much longer to go.. The baby is already in the vertex position which is great and the Doctor said that He is about 5 pounds right now but they are going to do an ultrasound after the holidays to see exactly how big he is.. praise the Lord for his answered prayer almost all of my pregnancy they were telling me that he was measuring smaller than what he should be but yesterday she said that the Baby is in his normal weeks and everything looks perfect.Prease continue to pray for me and the baby that the labor is not as long as it was with Zeke.

After a good preaching from my wonderful husband this last sunday we were able to have a good time with the young people from our church,we ordered pizza and played wii it was fun even though i did not played because I cant stretch without my belly hurting or shake my hands to play.(we had two visitors one young guy and another man from Georgia.yes,he was here for business work and Jeremi met him in a gas station the day before Jeremi saw that he was wearing a Ga shirt and started talking to him and told him about our church and invited him to come so he did).God is blessing our church so much we just continue to pray for families.

I received this invitation that I just had to pass on.

Dear loved ones,

As you well know, we are getting closer to my birthday. Every year there is a celebration in my honor, and I think that this year the celebration will be repeated. During this time there are many people shopping for gifts, there are many radio announcements and TV commercials, and in every part of the world everyone is saying that my birthday is getting closer and closer.

It is really very nice to know that at least once a year some people think of Me. As you know, the celebration of my birthday began many years ago. At first people seemed to understand and be thankful for all that I did for them, but in these times no one seems to know the reason for the celebration. Family and friends get together and have a lot of fun, but they don't know the meaning of the celebration. I remember that last year there was a great feast in my honor. The dinner table was full of delicious foods,pastries, fruits, assorted nuts and chocolates. The decorations were exquisite, and there were many, many beautifully wrapped gifts. But, I wasn't invited. I was the guest of honor, and they didn't remember to send Me an invitation. The party was for Me, but when that great day came, I was left outside-they closed the door in my face. And... I wanted to be with them and share their table.

Truthfully, that didn't surprise Me because in the last few years all have closed their doors to Me. Since I wasn't invited, I decided to enter the party without making any noise. I went in and stood in a corner. They were all drinking, and there were some who were drunk and telling jokes and laughing at everything, having a grand ol' time. To top it all, this big fat man all dressed in red wearing a long white beard entered the room yelling, "Ho, ho, ho!" He seemed drunk as he sat on the sofa, and all the children ran to him screaming, "Santa Claus, Santa Claus", as if the party were in his honor.

At midnight all the people began to hug each other. I extended my arms waiting for someone to hug Me, but no one did! Then they all began to share gifts. They opened them one by one with great expectation. When all had been opened, I looked to see if maybe there was one for Me. After all, how would you feel if on your birthday everybody shared gifts and you didn't get a one? I then understood that I was unwanted at that party and quietly left.

Every year it gets worse. People only remember the eating, the drinking, the gifts, the parties, and nobody remembers Me. I would like it if this Christmas you would allow Me to enter into your life. I would like it if you would recognize the fact that almost two thousand years ago I came to this world to give my life for you, on the cross, to save you. Today, my only desire is that you believe this with all your heart.

I want to share something further with you. As many didn't invite Me to their party, I will have my own celebration, a grandiose party that no one has ever imagined. I'm still making the final arrangements. Today I am sending out many invitations, and there is one for you. I want to know if you wish to attend, and I will make a reservation for you and write your name with golden letters in my great guest book. Only those on my guest list will be invited to the party; those who don't respond to the invitation will be left outside. Be prepared so that when all is ready you can be part of my great party.

Well I never got back with you about my glucose test results the week after I had the test they call me and told me that everything had come out good, so that was a big blessing and praise the Lord for that.In my appointment they said that the baby is growing,I am growing and everything looks great, so that is another blessing.
Now I am in the point where is hard to find a good position to sleep,My belly is big and on the way,the baby moves non stop and feels like he is in a trampoline all the time.Yes we are very excited knowing that Eli will be in our arms in the next 7 weeks I am sure seven weeks are going to pass by really quick because we are going to be very busy with the holidays and baby shopping so please keep me and my family in your prayers.

well we had a good thanksgiving day in the morning Jeremi and I cooked breakfast for the family(my in-laws and brother and sister in law),and for Dinner my mother-in-law cooked the delicious turkey with gravy,mashed potatoes,sweet potatoes and all of that good stuff.WE DID MISS MY FAMILY AND JEREMI'S GRANDPARENTS SPECIALLY HER BREAKFAST.lol)But like ashley said in her post we are blessed and forward to start new traditions and new experiences in the new place that God has placed us.)

This morning we got up at 5am and went to the great sales that many stores offer this day its a good opportunity to find alot for your christmas list(course if you get up early otherwise you dont find some of the things you would like to have),I personally found some things that I been wanting to get Zeke and I found them for a very good price but my other experience was that toys r us opened at 4am and I did not get there till almost 6am I found in the sales paper last night that they were going to have a swing set for 50% off but when I got there they were gone oh well next time I need to really be an earlybird.lol Anyways I hope you all had a great thanksgiving day and starting to feel the christmas spirit.

1.I heard the Gospel for the first time when I was 13 years old. I did not liked church at the beginning(I though I would become weird),but my mom would make me get in the car and go to church.(It was embarrasing because I would walked in church with my eyes red from crying).

2.I moved from a public school to a christian school(Madison Baptist Academy)when I was 16 years old.

3.I have lived in 3 different countries in my entire life, And visited 5 countries.

4.I like to be creative!! scrapbook even though I am behind,and I also make hair bows(I made all different colors for my niece)

5.I dated my husband 3 months before we got engage,and 5 months later we got married.

6.I love chinese food.. when I was pregnant with Zeke thats all I ate.

7.I dont eat my meat or steaks with pink in the middle it has to be completely cooked no medium cook like they call it.Sometimes in the restaurants I have to ask to cook it again ,(yes I am probably a pain to the waitress and maybe thinks I am weird.)

Doctor's Visit

This morning I went to my glucose test appointment and my normal check up,now I just have to wait for my results hopefully everything comes out good,I am now 29 weeks(not 30 yet like i thought)and the baby sounds perfect,We are getting so nervous about his arrivel but at the same time we are super excited and can't wait to hold our little boy I guess i go ahead and share the name ELI will be the little man's name we like it and its very unique.I am now starting my doctor's visits every two weeks I just can't believe how fast the time flies soon we will have our second child we just pray that we can be the parents that God wants us to be and our dream is that one day we can see our boys serving the Lord with their lives and be known as great MAN of God.
